There are numerous ugly dog breeds, but which are the ugliest dogs of all time?

10. Bedlington Terrier

Believe it or not, the Bedlington Terrier's coat does not grow in this strange formation naturally, but the many people who force their dogs to wear this hideous hairstyle are making their Bedlington Terriers one of the least attractive dogs to look at.

9. Borzoi

Borzoi, a member of the sighthound family, are not only one of the tallest dog breeds, but also one of the ugliest. Borzoi is unmistakably strange-looking canines.

8. Caucasian Mountain Dog

Caucasian Mountain Dogs are one of the tallest and most obnoxious breeds. It's Chow Chow's chubby and obese cousin.

7. Irish Wolfhound

Irish Wolfhounds are sighthounds, which are the tallest breeds on average. They're also, without a doubt, one of the most unattractive.

6. English Bull Terrier

The English Bull Terrier is a breed of dog that is well-known for having an egg-shaped head (as well as for being the brand dog for Target stores).

I believe that all dogs, including English Bull Terriers, are cute in some way, but that doesn't mean they can't be ugly in other ways as well. When I look at this photo, I wonder if it's an alien species or a dog breed.

5. The Puli

Dreadlocks appear to be a feature of this Hungarian dog breed. I, like many others, prefer that my dog looks like a dog rather than a massive pile of hair. These dogs would be a lot cuter if it weren't for their hideous dreadlocks.

4. The Komondor

Komondors, like Puli, is an unappealing breed with matted dreadlocks. However, in general, Pulis is black and Komondors are white. This is why Komondors are also known as "mop dogs."

3. Mastiff of Naples

Neapolitan Mastiffs look like a cross between an English Mastiff, a Bloodhound, and a Shar-Pei that has gone horribly wrong and inbred. This is the obvious reason they are on this list of the top ten ugliest dogs.

2. The Mexican Hairless

Just look at the photo above—Mexican Hairless dogs are a sight to behold, with their uneven, splotchy skin and dingy, patchy hair. If there is one dog that deserves to be on this list, it is the Mexican Hairless.

Perhaps this is the ugliest photo in the bunch, but many people consider the Mexican Hairless to be the second worst-looking breed when compared to the half-hairless versions of the dog breed ranking first as the world's ugliest breed of dog.

1. The Chinese Crested

The Chinese Crested takes first place. If any dog is known for its ugliness, it is this one. A dog's personality is certainly endearing, but if they were only judged on their physical appearance, the Chinese Crested would win (or lose, depending on how you look at it). I mean, there's nothing appealing about this dog.
