Should I Increase My Weight?

Trying to gain weight as a child, especially by consuming a lot of junk food, is virtually never a healthy idea. Many people desire to lose weight, therefore it may appear weird that some children desire to gain weight. Thin children, on the other hand, may believe that they aren't the correct size. They may even face ridicule as a result of it.

People come in a variety of sizes and shapes. You might have buddies your age that is significantly heavier than you. That doesn't rule out the possibility that one of you is underweight.

Why Do Some Children Weigh Less Than Others?

Some kids are skinny or don't weigh as much as their peers for a variety of reasons:

They're not very long. There's less of you if you're not too tall – at least vertically. When you step on the scale, you'll notice that you've lost weight.

They have a small frame, which is frequently referred to as "little-bondedness." It simply indicates that a person's bodily frame (skeleton and muscles) is smaller or thinner. Examining your wrist is one approach to compare frames. A person with a smaller frame usually has a smaller wrist, so selecting a watch that isn't too huge can be difficult!

When compared to companions who have gone through puberty, they appear to be frail. It's common for children to grow rapidly and gain weight during puberty. If one child hasn't reached puberty while the other has, the child who hasn't reached puberty is likely to be smaller and thinner.

Their parents are persons who are short, tiny, or skinny. Your mother and father pass on their genes to you, including the genes that influence your height and build. If you have petite or skinny family members, there's a significant chance you will as well.

What If You Were Teased?

One of the reasons slim youngsters want to gain weight is because they are taunted. It's never enjoyable to be singled out. If this happens to you, inform an adult who can assist you. You may also practice what you'll say in response to someone who teases you. Don't offend anyone, but you may say something like, "That's just how I'm wired. Every person is unique." Having friends who support you can make you feel more courageous and less alone.
